Welcome to Spring in the Central US

First week of April looks like a waste. Luckily I will be in Phoenix for at least part of that period

EPO is going to TANK... Should recover by second week of April (and so should the temps)

Seems like the cold shot is mostly going to affet the Midwest but the coastal East would still be warm

Hopefully. Sometimes the cold shot moves from west to east, so the forecast a few days later would show cold.

Surprised how above average this March has averaged out to. So far, 7.2°F above average and next week is forecast to be mild — if the wunderground forecast happens, monthly average will be 8.0°F above average. March 2012, hottest March in recent decades was 9.5°F. This March has had lots of days with highs around 60°F but no really very warm days unlike 2012. March 2012 had a cold first week dragging its average down. Plants are starting earlier than usual, but the seasons don't seem out of whack like 2012, much less changing for an April freeze damaging tender plants.

What sun? Supposed to be Partly Sunny today... Not yet..

Satellite showing we are at the bottom edge socked in the clouds all day so far. Blue skies over the waters though.

Also notice the snowstorm going on in Colorado and the strip of snow across the Mid West. I'm seeing 8-12" of snow already in spots and not done yet.

Also notice, 60s with clouds up to southern New England

Also notice the Orange lines. There's an Upper Level low and a Surface storm over Kansas. Potent Spring snowstorm. 70s on 1 side of Kansas and about to snow and drop to 30s on the other side.
