Santa Maria has a chance of rain from Friday-Monday! But once you go south of Santa Barbara the chance of rain is below 10-20%. I don't consider my area to be part of SoCal at all. I live in the Central Coast region of California.

Wow, trees are already quite bare in Edmonton. If you would have told me that pic was from December 14th instead of October 14th, I wouldn't have a hard time believing it.

Basically a strong storm hitting the PacNW and air aloft is cold enough over Alberta. Snowfall warnings are out.

"As of 12:00 p.m. Friday, areas north and northeast of Edmonton were under snowfall warnings with 10-15 centimetres expected by the end of day."

Snowfall warning issued for Edmonton; 10 to 15 cm of snow expected - Edmonton | Globalnews.ca

Not sure how accurate Wunderground is for Edmonton, but it seems like it's been quite a chilly October, and the chilly weather will continue. Only 43 F/6 C as the highest high in the forecast. For reference, the average October high is 50 F/10 C.
