Okay, good. Just making sure you weren't using Maryville, as Maryville is a microclimate.

Autumn definitely feels longer here. It seems like it goes from deep-winter to 80s (F) in only about two weeks, but the months of October, November and December just drag on...and on...and on.

But does December really feel like an autumn month to you there? It's the second coldest winter month.

It only starts to feel like winter around the 20th. Until then there are still brown leaves laying everywhere, low clouds and pouring rain with temperatures hovering in the 40s F during the day and low 30s at night. It can get a little depressing after a while.

(low clouds and frequent precipitation are good in the summer with green vegetation)

Sounds like October here in SK .

On average, December is our 2nd coldest month, although in any given year, it's impossible to predict whether the coldest month will be December, January or February. Our warmest Decembers average around 20 F (means of highs and lows), and our coldest Decembers in the -10 F range.

Name any random American or Canadian city, and I can tell you that on average, the first three weeks of June are warmer than the first three weeks of September (with some exceptions such as Newfoundland and the California coast). Similarly, the first three weeks of March are warmer than the first three weeks of December (again, except Newfoundland and certain parts of the Northeast).
The astronomical definition of seasons is more accurate here. June 1-21 is cooler than September 1-21. December 1-21 is only slightly cooler than March 1-21.

Nice video from a Canadian meteo there 5 days ago.

Goes over the radar, snow totals, pictures and even compared the storm size to Hurricane Matthew. Whoa.
