Ugh why is the snowline so far north?? Shouldn't Montana and the Dakotas be getting hammered with this sort of pattern?

They did last week. Pattern relaxing a bit for them but how about this...


121 km north of Vancouver, in British Columbia, Canada.. Whistler Blackcomb woke up this morning to a ridiculous amount of snow on its higher peaks and looks more like January not October.

Dude, Cut Bank, MT dropped to 5 F (-15 C) last Wednesday, so they most definitely felt a good brunt of cold air.
