I'm at 58° now but it's been cloudy since about 9am. Can't imagine what it would be with the sun. lol Notice Bridgeport. Typically see this effect in Spring time. Groton in SouthEast CT is only 45°
Yep. We had a high of 60°F with sun.
And yes, I went for a bike ride. Still a snowpack in some shaded rural areas, if in a small V-valley we'd enter a short refrigerator and then a minute later get a warm wind into us.

I still have patches around from what used to be piles. Lol. It will survive! Evergreen needles on it after wind, rain, 50s & 61° today.
Geez. Seems like the north has experienced 2 seasons in 1 week difference. That's the good thing about winter in the east. Like winter? You will get a few cold days. Cold bothering you? Few days later it will be in the 60s. Lol
Actually that certainly happens some winters. Other winters can have weeks of below avg temps with a few warm days thrown in. But there is plenty of winter months where what you described does not happen, or if it does you get hardly that much of a warmup.

maybe up north but not down here. We normally get 4-5 days at 70 or above in winter. This year we have had 14 with 11 days being in December, wonder if that's a record for 70 degree days in winter. Tomorrow will be day 15. forecast is calling for 72.
