Yep. We had a high of 60°F with sun.

And yes, I went for a bike ride. Still a snowpack in some shaded rural areas, if in a small V-valley we'd enter a short refrigerator and then a minute later get a warm wind into us.

I still have patches around from what used to be piles. Lol. It will survive! Evergreen needles on it after wind, rain, 50s & 61° today.

Actually that certainly happens some winters. Other winters can have weeks of below avg temps with a few warm days thrown in. But there is plenty of winter months where what you described does not happen, or if it does you get hardly that much of a warmup.

maybe up north but not down here. We normally get 4-5 days at 70 or above in winter. This year we have had 14 with 11 days being in December, wonder if that's a record for 70 degree days in winter. Tomorrow will be day 15. forecast is calling for 72.
