51°F already in Whitefield, New Hampshire. Only 48°F here, but it's cloudy here and sunny there, sun must be giving an early morning temperature boost. If this keeps up and they get rain up there the White Mountains won't be white.

The flow?

Northern Jet is in Canada but a piece of it dove down in the West, it will get cut off from the Actual Jet Stream and Barrel to the Mid West with the Surface storm.

I don't need to draw any more lines to show the Eastern U.S is under the Pacific air influence. Did I tell you how much I hate that Pacific ocean? lol

Interesting that it's more west than south right now. If our average winter flow was just winter, our winters would be rather mild.

We didn't even have a range of 65 F in the whole year last year.......Florida sucks.

Will we have a Gulf flow tomorrow? Forecasts showing mid to upper 60s with thunderstorms!

Assume you mean "west" there, yup.. Our Averages would be more bland without big ranges and definitely more mild.

Yup, as the Trough digs in the West and the Upper Low spins up towards the Mid West that will draw a more south flow from the Gulf.

=============================

Snow in Miami? Ok, maybe not Miami but GFS12z says cold enough for it in Orlando in 10 days.

Gulf effect snow? 850mb freezing line dives well south! DAMN!

Min temps from this run.

Northern NH and most of that region has been ridiculously warm relative to average this Winter. Part of it is the mild split-flow pattern with Pacific air, but the other is the positive feedback loop with less snow cover meaning lower albedo and higher temperatures. Snow has been so low that drought conditions exist.
