CFSv2 showing very wet coasts this January... Does that mean above average snow for the East Coast?

How can I keep getting lucky? I don't want an off winter again.

My backyard Snow Totals Per Season:

2007-08: 21"
2008-09: 41.0"
2009-10: 39.5"
2010-11: 71.5"
2011-12: 14"
2012-13: 46.5"
2013-14: 56.8"
2014-15: 61.5"

Average Seaonal Snow (using BDR since 1950) = 27.8"

COME ON POLAR JET....DIG DOWN BABY!

CFSv2 has a HUGE blizzard Saturday December 18th. Plains and Midwest get hammered with snow and wind. 994mb low over Chicago and cold air well east of the Storm center.

This means pouring rain and warmth for Eastern seaboard. UGH! lol. Until the cold front comes through few days later.

(yes, I'm bored)

I would prefer snow, but a wet winter would be fine too.

No, nothing worse than getting rain when it could have been snow if it were only a few degrees colder.

I seem to be in the minority when it comes to not minding rain in the winter. There are times when I get annoyed by it, but I'll take it over too much sun.

I can't stand cold winter rain. PUKE, which is quite common in November. Happens to be the worst month in Chicago. For my suburb the average high is 57.7F on the 1st, and 41.7F on the 30th.

Maybe I'm just more emotional about the weather.

I want a cold winter but for some reason I believe we're in for a mild winter again.
