I remember one in May 2013 visiting a friend in NYC and it was still about 30°C at midnight. Not even fans, they had left the fans in the basement and the landlord chucked doing a cleaning job. Long and narrow apartment, with big fans in the window, the air blew through the entire length.
Yikes that sounds horrid I would have tried taking an ice bath and sleeping naked lol that night that it was 32 C at midnight I couldn't get to sleep, I tried pouring cold water on my head and it wasn't helping at all.

He has 15 C nights.....pretty refreshing for summer.
Well lows, usually warmer at bedtime. Strange thing being without A/C, is it can colder inside early morning than people's rooms with A/C because I have fans on blasting outside air that cooled down. Rather warm at bedtime, chilly waking up...

I went through a few nights with temps at or near 30°C in Paris. In 2003 the temp went below 30°C sometime between 10 pm and 2 am for 10 days straight.
My current climate is more prone to uncomfortable nights. Not surprising given that it averages about 6°C warmer at night. Here are the warmest lows in the last few summers in Nice:
