Dewpoints dropped to around 50°F here around 8 am.
WOW!
I just shut the A/C off and opened the doors and windows. WOW !!! Dew point in the mid 50s (I see you are in the 40s) and temps in mid 70s with NO SUN! PERFECT Summer weather.
Or at least I should say, this is awesome. Not my preference but damn it will do. Cloud base lowering to about 4000 feet now so it's starting to get a bit dreary... but it's 5pm... No complaints. Hide that sun till Fall!
Gainesville hit 100F yesterday...happened last in 2011 so not as impressive as I thought. Nothing above 20% chance of rain in the forecast and we've only had 1.58 inches this month. Last summer was extremely cloudy so maybe the weather is making up for it this year. Still, I would like some rain; even the native plants here can't survive this drought with these hot temps.

A/C? My bedroom hasn't been above 71°F since Monday morning?
Ah your map helps explains the clouds... lingering from that moisture flow? Dunno right word. I'd rather be in northern Vermont / New Hampshire; about the same temperature but with sun. If that flow could move 100 miles south... 52°F on the summit of Mt. Washington and clear, about what you'd expect for the altitude with dry air, perhaps a bit warmer as the levels above have some moisture.
Ummm Ridge approaches 594 dm next week in the Southeast, and expands... HOT. I knew it was going to be a hot summer in Dixie... At least some of that heat heads into the Lower Midwest . No cap for us, so garaunteed convection keeps temps to upper 80's maybe a 90 for Chicagoland.
These low diurnal ranges are getting ridiculous. At least winter had some temperature variation. The temp hesn't changed much for the last 12 hours despite sunny weather:

Why do you not like clouds in summer? I'd think it'd make for better bike riding weather, not to mention cooler temps in your house without AC.
With my luck it'll be sunny tomorrow morning. Forecast high tomorrow is 75°F, so don't care about it in terms of comfort. There were a few spots I wished I had a jacket while riding this morning. Here the clouds that marred my morning ride:
