I asked RHMZRS about that reading few weeks ago, but they haven't answered yet. If it's correct I'm guessing it must have occured in 1991, 1997 or 2003.

About November minimums: Sokolac recorded -29.6c on 26 November 1975. It's hard to read that number in the scanned version of the monthly bulletin, but I think I read it right.
On the same day the temperature dropped to -22.8c at Vámosmikola in Hungary.
Thanks.
I see the lowest temperature in Sokolac in period 1991-2008 was -31.6c (in January). The lowest temperature in Sokolac since measurements started in 1951 was -34.6c recorded on January 24, 1985.

For Sokolac there is a average of mean temperatures by months for referent period 1981-2010 (for 1991-2029 is not published yet).

Yes, it is written -29.6c on the site of RHMZ as lowest temperature in Sokolac in November 1975. In Sjenica lowest temperature in November 1975 was -26.2c and that is the lowest temperature in Sjenica in November since 1949. Sokolac's lower minimum extreme in November than of Sjenica make sense, since Sokolac has slightly colder November by mean temperature on average. For period 1949-1985 Sokolac also had slightly colder November on average than Sjenica.

Yes, that -31.6c was recorded in January 2000. In the same month Karajukica Bunari reached -37.5c and Sjenica -34.8c. It's interesting that it was colder at Karajukica Bunari in January 2006, but not in Sjenica and Sokolac.

In term of extreme low temperatures in recent years worth of mentioning is -29.6c recorded in Sokolac on January 8, 2017. Mean temperature in Sokolac in January 2017 was -8c
In Sjenica in January 2017 the lowest recorded temperature was -27.6c and mean was -10.2c. In the same month in Karajukića Bunari the lowest temperature was -30c and mean was -11.9c. Average low in K. Bunari in Jan 2017 was -18c and average high -5.8c (in Jan 2017 in Kosanica average low was probably about -20c).
January 2017 in Karajukića Bunari was the coldest month on average (by mean temperature) since 1990. In Sjenica the coldest month on average since 1949 was January 1964 with -10.9c

@Vesca

Kosanica this morning recorded -20.9c and that is the lowest temperature in winter 2022/23 until now https://i.postimg.cc/RZt1SR73/IMG-20230201-115847.jpg

In winter 2021/22 Kosanica had a lot of days with lows below -20c, but this winter is quite warmer than average in entire Balkans and large part of the rest of Europe as well. Except this is lowest temperature since March 2022, today's low in Kosanica is interesting because it is much lower than in Karajukića Bunari. Low this morning in Karajukića Bunari was -8.3c. Kosanica usually has lower minimums than Karajukića Bunari, but not so much lower as today.

Btw average low in Karajukića Bunari in January for referent period 1991-2020 is -9.1c, average high is +0.4c, and daily mean is -4.5c. In this January average daily low in Kosanica was for 1.5c lower than in Karajukića Bunari. If that would be difference for longer period, than average daily low in Kosanica for 1991-2020 would be -10.6c. I think Kosanica has even little lower average low in January than K. Bunari in long term than what was in this January, and average daily low in Kosanica for 1991-2020 is closer to -11c than to -10.5c. Daily high in Kosanica in this Janury was for only 0.1c lower than in K. Bunari. I noticed long time ago that bigger difference is in daily lows between these places than in daily highs in all seasons. Kosanica is for only 38 m higher than K. Bunari, and it's colder than it should be than K. Bunari if only elevation were taken into account. Obviously Kosanica is exposed to a stronger plateau effect than Karajukića Bunari. Which makes sense since around Kosanica plateau exist mountains over 2000 m and even over 2500 m (Durmitor 2522 m), and around Pešter plateau where K. Bunari is located the highest mountains are 1700-1800 m.

Apparently July 3, 2023, was globally the warmest single day ever measured and recorded by humans.
