House was 81F today. Probably won't turn on the AC until June at the earliest, though.

The only saving grace about the summer of 2012 was that the drought at least where i live began to improve in August with major rains finally returning........to indianapolis after a miserable June and July that year when i was afraid that it would never rain again. The summer of 2011 also saw very high dew points not just in your location....indianapolis also saw unusually high humidity that summer as well peaking at a dew point of 79 degrees Fahrenheit and logging a daily average of 77 degrees Fahrenheit in July 2011.
I never said anything about the southeast.

Central Kentucky's average July dewpoint is in the same range as Minneapolis:

Indiana was humid in 2011 also. You guys are drier than us currently, though. Wonder how much difference it'll make.

Looking back at daily max & mean dewpoints July 5 - August 9, 2011...

So 34 out of 35 days above average. That was after the wettest April on record. See why I'm hyped?

Yeah, I said the same thing a couple months ago. But you adjust easily to warmer room temps. In February, the temp in my bedroom at night with open windows was usually around 65F. Now it is ten degrees warmer. I really don't notice the difference. Maybe I'll turn on the ceiling fan if it gets any warmer.

Inside temps at my house are still in the upper 50s F, but they are starting to rise into lower and mid 60s F during the daytime. In a month or so, we'll probably be flirting with 70s, and in 2 months, we'll need AC.

I CAN wait till summer. This was my room early last September (below). DP was near 77F inside when this pic was taken, creating a heat index of 100F inside. AC had been busted for a couple years at that time...

Awful. Can't wait till fall. I will probably post this pic again several times during the summer.

Not when you lose sleep and wake up with headaches because of it. You learn to keep it cool.

Speaking of cool...

"Wow! Big Black River, Maine is -20F!"

"Good morning from WFO Caribou, Maine where it is an all-time April record setting 4 below at sunrise."

"Low temps across northern and eastern Maine so far this morning."
