Still too early, I assume the ground is at least partially frozen down by you? Maybe not. A lot of that may run off. However, if you get a few repeated events like that, you are in for a muggy summer. Maybe not hot, but certainly muggy. We on the other hand have been pretty dry this Spring
Frozen ground is long gone, except for a brief morning frost last weekend.
Nice blue sky this morning. Was in the mid 40s. If it were a normal day with sun I'd expect it to reach in the 60s, but the air mass is getting colder as the sunrise. Forecast high 49°F. Got 0.65" of rain overnight.
nice progress. Only the hills have snow, and the lower spots don't look they have that much left. Southern half of New Hampshire, and the Connecticut River valley of Vermont and New Hampshire should melt out soon. Next week will be cool, but rainy with mostly above freezing nights. Note that upstate NY now has more snow, but it's a light cover. maps via
So how was everyone's day today? Did you enjoy the weather?
Decent considering I was in 90 degree temps yesterday. It's 58F/14C at ORD and 61F/16C at MDW under sunny skies
Going to have a few days with showers this week (and cool temps), but the longer range models indicate overall dry pattern through much of Spring for Chicago and the Great Lakes region

Not too bad, a bit chilly but at least I can wear a sweater now. I jogged on the street for the first time in centuries
