And like nei said, my grass is green here but not vivid of course. Soil is soft and moist. 2011-12 all over again.
It's not 2011-12 again dw

Now 14 in a row.

The minimum temperature has been above normal 14 days in a row.. Last 4 days have been 10+ above.

Oct 14-18 was last time with a streak like this

Last time they had a streak of 4 days with a "negative" departure of 10+ was March 24-27. It's been a while since our lows have been well colder than normal! WTF

normal low is mid 20s now and we're staying in the 30s and 40s. Come on!

NWS NY NY. Ridge flattens out and we go into a zonal flow. High Pressure crazy strong but look where its headed. by time it moves east the cold air will moderate a bit. Will I finally get snow Sunday night thanks to wet bulbing?

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NEW YORK NY
658 PM EST FRI DEC 26 2014

LONG TERM /SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY/...
OVERALL...IN THE MID TO UPPER LEVELS...RIDGING FLATTENS LATE THIS WEEKEND GOING INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK. THIS LEAVES A ZONAL FLOW THROUGH MIDWEEK AND THEN A TREND TOWARD MORE OF A TROUGH ACROSS THE NORTHEAST TOWARDS THE END OF THE WEEK.

AT THE SURFACE...A COLD FRONT MOVES ACROSS EARLY SUNDAY AND THEN STALLS WELL SOUTH OF LONG ISLAND GOING INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK WITH AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE RIDING ALONG THE FRONT. ONE BIG FEATURE TO NOTE NEXT WEEK IS THE VERY STRONG HIGH PRESSURE MOVING INTO THE NORTHWEST U.S WITH MAGNITUDE OF AT LEAST 1050 MB. LIKEWISE...A VERY COLD SOURCE OF AIR WILL BE MOVING INTO THE NORTHWEST U.S. THIS AIR MASS GRADUALLY MOVES SOUTH AND EAST THROUGH THE WEEK

WITH THE AFOREMENTIONED COLD AND DRY AIR ADVECTION...A LOW LEVEL ENVIRONMENT WILL BE SETTING UP THAT COULD WET BULB AND COOL DOWN SEVERAL DEGREES WITHIN THE BOUNDARY LAYER. THEREFORE...LOW CHANCE OF PRECIP BECOMING MORE OF A SNOW MIX...MAINLY SNOW ACROSS THE INTERIOR SUNDAY NIGHT AND MONDAY. THE AMOUNTS ARE VERY LIGHT THOUGH AND GENERALLY LESS THAN TWO TENTHS OF AN INCH WITH ANY POSSIBLE LIGHT SNOW ACCUMULATION BEING MOSTLY ACROSS THE INTERIOR

Indianapolis is on track for one of the least snowiest December's on record with the airport logging just a meager 0.1 inches for the month as of the 26th or today. Last December recorded 8.9 inches of snow in indianapolis, so thus far the atmospheric pattern set up has been nothing like last year's so far.

White Christmas in Winnipeg. I thought was a snow covered road at first then realized that's a frozen river.

Yep. This has been an extremely gloomy month, but there is the consolation:

Interesting about last December though, we only got 0.6.

Yes, 2 inches of snow since the 24th. Covered up the brown grass in the fields.

As long as we don't get too much, then It is fine.

Last year was dangerous and couldn't see over snow banks when driving.
