The thunderstorm last night was interesting. Very gusty winds, now there are branches all over the lawn. Definitely the most intense storm we've had all year. Recorded 0.32 inches in my gauge.
Much more exciting than those pathetic summer t-storms

Providence being the same temp as Jacksonville, FL this morning is pretty funny. New Englanders get to experience a coastal subtropical southern Christmas! Reminds me of that time earlier this month when Daytona Beach had lower low temps than Minneapolis.

Yup.. Not rare to get this warmth this time of year but was close to rare for how high we went.

And lookie here... Whats that? A new sky color? A Christmas Miracle? LOL Facing NW. Back edge moving across SWCT you can see on Satellite below. Temps dropped into the 40s. Ba Bye 50s.

Surface Map and Northeast Satellite. You can see where the clearing is but still cloudy over the Ohio Valley. and Eastern CT for now.

Crazy stat of the day.

Bridgeport, CT only had 3 Christmas Eves with a max temp above 54°F/12.2C (1990, 1996, 2014)

Only 4 times for Christmas above 53F/11.6C (1964, 1974, 1994, 2014)

Records since 1948

There was some crazy wind last night. As in, entire trees bending.

I was afraid windows would blow in.
