Maybe this offers some consolation:

We've not had a single minute of sunshine today. A complete washout following days on end of bone dry and blue skies. The good old mid-summer day with sunny morning and stormy evening is a distant memory.

Min and Max temps today in the Northeast.

Overall a nice day from start to finish.

Yes, those are 40s this morning in some spots.

Yes, still too warm for me especially in the sun and the way a home gets stuffy. Dewpoints were still mid 50s to 60 here. But don't worry, I wont use that icon on the right with the tears. lol

Little blog with pics on the smoke in Western Canada.

There were some images I saw from Satellite but I'm on phone now.

Smoke picked up on satellite from fires like volcano ash getting distributed across the planet. Lol

Today in the memphis metro highs were only in the upper 60s. Officially 69 at memphis airport which breaks the record for the coldest July maximum ever and smashed the daily record of 76. Don't think I'll ever see another birthday like this again!

SeaTac had 12 consecutive days of 80+ highs ending yesterday. I'm not sure what the record is for that, but it's a long streak for here.

So far July has averaged 70.8F, 5.9F degrees above average! And with only a trace of rain. The rest of July looks cooler, but the month will still end up being above average.
