Its coming here tonight!!

There was none last night, I keep seeing really vivid pictures but I can't see it ever. Do cameras enhance it?

Yeah cameras definitely do. All you have to do is set a slow shutter speed and you will get good images.

2 weeks ago it wasn't really bright to naked eye, but when I downloaded the pictures I took it came out really good.

Comment: Upgrading the Watch for 13-14 Sep due to anticipated effects from the CME associated with yesterdays R3 (Strong) event.
Potential Impacts: Area of impact primarily poleward of 50 degrees Geomagnetic Latitude.
Induced Currents - Power system voltage irregularities possible, false alarms may be triggered on some protection devices.
Spacecraft - Systems may experience surface charging; increased drag on low Earth-orbit satellites and orientation problems may occur.
Navigation - Intermittent satellite navigation (GPS) problems, including loss-of-lock and increased range error may occur.
Radio - HF (high frequency) radio may be intermittent.
Aurora - Aurora may be seen as low as Pennsylvania to Iowa to Oregon.

Yosemite fire grows, but Half Dome could reopen to hikers by weekend - LA Times

So hikers were forced to climb the cables, as the helicopter could only land on the top of Half Dome. I guess getting a helicopter ride off the top of Half Dome is a unique tourist experience. And for free!

Weather Slows Yosemite Wildfire That Dozens Fled

From the outcropping, called the subdome, hikers must climb a board-and-cable stairway up the rock face to reach the top.

Kirk, who was hiking to Half Dome for the first time, said she didn’t want to go up the cables, but a park employee insisted.

“He said there was no way to land the helicopter except on top of Half Dome,” Kirk said. “That was the moment everyone felt scared.”

“One woman freaked out,” she said. “They gave her a makeshift harness and helped her out on the cable.”

Kirk said the climb and the airlift weren’t something she wanted to repeat.

“It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but I don’t think I’ll do it again,” Kirk said.

It is interesting how July was the coldest month of the year in Ontario. The same cannot be said for places here in BC. I don't know that this has ever happened out our way, but I'd have to check.

Here is a summary of this summer showing the hottest spots in Canada. Windsor is the only place outside of BC. These are mean temperatures. If we take average daily maximum temperatures instead, Ashcroft and Osoyoos would tie at 30.3 degrees for the summer.

Here's another shocker for you folks. Here is a list of the hottest temperatures in Canada outside of BC (note that 98F =35.6666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666 6666666666666666666666667C).

Summary of the non-BC hot spots in 2014 (bolded places are north of 60N):
1) Medicine Hat, AB = 36.8 C
2) Nohin, NWT = 36.7
3) Fort Simpson, NWT = 36.6
4) Middle Arm, NFLD = 36.5
