A look at metars, Infrared Satellite and all the warnings out there. Looks like some damage in KY, PA, NY, MS & SC

Deeper the color the higher(colder) the clouds.

Lightning icon = thunderstorms in area.

I Really hope to have a retirement home in Wyoming. This hot tripe in september is too much to handle .

For all those sweltering in the heat, just look at this refreshing weather:

Changed its mind and stayed north...Surprise!! Closest strike was maybe 3 miles, then right after that the electrical aspect suddenly died over my area and resumed in Georgetown. Completely lost count of how many storms have approached my house and shifted position at the last second this summer. Enough rain to flood my yard yet no good lightning ****ing figures. I hate this place.

Don't you wish they would do a localized study on that or at least keep track of things like that? Maybe someone out there is for years. Is your area treeless compared to north and south of there?

---------

No, I'm still not believing the cool down in a week.

Possibly compared to downtown (no farms), but north to south seems pretty uniform. What is the difference that would make?

Chicago's Midway airport did as well with over 25 inches, and the POR going back to 1928.
