There's the daily data: Meteociel - Climatologie mensuelle par ville
The two first days had still some remnants from the cold June, but luckily it stopped.

August is the deal-breaker. It seems to start very warm, but if the second half is disappointing, it will ruin a lot of the summer. The chill in June was actually a nice thing to experience for novelty's sake, but can't say it was something I want to experience again. And the beginning of May was terrible as well.

And we beat Rimini Miramare, Italy in the 30C competition as well.

Will someone be starting a July 2014 Summary Thread?

I don't get the sunshine stats before tomorrow, so I have not the definite numbers yet and no point in making the thread when I don't have all the figures. And it's still 4 hours left of the meteorological day as well.

I suspect our average high will be a shade over 23C, and the average low around 13C.. so firmly above average. Probably sunnier than average as well. All in all, a good month. Shame it has gown downhill for the start of August.

Once again... midday and it's warmer here than in Tennessee. Still 60s in parts of PA!

Nevermind 32.2C/90F days of which ORD has only seen 3 and MDW 8. We are way behind in 30C/86F days too....

30C days? Abysmal

May:7
June:9
July:6
Seven 30C days in May? Wow, that's a lot!
It is above average, I suppose.

30C days in Rome:

May: 0 (average 1)
June: 7 (average 7)
July: 7 (average 21)

The 30C's here have been all in July. I go by the nationwide 30's instead, as obviously we are at a latitude disadvantage.

May: 2
June: 1
July: 14

May 30's are very rare. There has been many years when 30C hasn't been reached all summer. This happened in 2009 the last time.

If I remember correctly, the average days above 30C in Turku is 2 a year.

You got more May 30's than I did here. We got close (28-29ºC) but we weren't able to crack 30 in May.
All of our 30's have been this month too.. 23 of them, looking like 24
