I would love a good atmospheric river about now.

We have a few small brush-grass fires popping up nearby which isn't helping our nerves, or our air.

We have more ash all over everything from the Bolt Creek fire. Air quality is unhealthy but it's supposed to get better tomorrow. The wind change should help with the Bolt Creek fire, which is causing a lot of misery.

Andy, looks like a nice view. You definitely benefit from sea breezes there which helps with fire smoke and air quality issues during these times.

Vancouver is actually a lot better today since the high eastern winds have died. We still have remnants of the smoke. But its not nearly as bad as yesterday. We could see a little bit of blue through the cloudy skies while having an outdoor family picnic.

Diana lucked out with that little bit of rain.

Derek - we’re not in that big rain area… We’re in the little green dot under the arrow :-)

Lucky indeed!

Still no rain besides a few sprinkles, air quality is not great (yellow zone) and the Bolt Creek fire is only 2% contained and at 8000 acres. Who would have thought we'd have a wildfire like this in Snohomish County?

We actually got our first rain last night in Vancouver. Yeah!! Although not a lot, it sure does help with fires and air quality. We'll take whatever we can get. We also have family CA that got a little rain from the same system - Tropical Storm Kay. They were hurting for rain as well due to draught and fires. Additionally, the normal onshore winds have returned helping to clear the air. I see some blue sky intermixed with low clouds now vs. the hazy skies from fire smoke. Hopefully, this trend will continue with more rain and sea breezes to come. Fall is almost here!

Our sky is clearer, and we had a few more sprinkles overnight. A few more days of those, and things will be green again
