The overhead view used made some of the building look much taller than they are, 4-stories looks taller ; when MplsTodd said "Vicksburg" I thought, "No way, I was there in April on the way back from Alabama" but there it is, St Paul's Church in the center with the Mississippi River not in view. Downtown just "pops up", and it's small, we stopped at KJ's River Town Grill for lunch.
I can't tell you how many places I looked at to try to get the last photo. It looks like there quite a bit of grade change, but its hard to tell for sure.
The IHOP downtown and the trees in the median mean it's not Crystal City, but those look like DC Metro busses. However, I'll guess at nearby Arlington.

Yep, it's Arlington. I was actually looking for Ballston, which is one of Arlington's many major commercial nodes. In addition to Ballston, Arlington also has nodes such as Roslyn, Pentagon City, Crystal City, and Virginia Square. All are located along Metro subway lines.
You're up Sluggo!
It has been a while since I was in Arlington, over ten years, and don't remember anything about it. I just guessed based on the "good guess" clue and the bus colors. Crystal City is notable for its high per diem rate (I was attending a conference at the Pentagon for a week) and the one and only time I ever dined at Ruth's Chris. Per diem was about $150 back then and is now $226.
This pleasant riverfront city is one of my favorites to visit, although my wife would say otherwise.
