I tend to lean toward celebrities as surprise guests too because of the way the contestants were squealing and acting in awe and disbelief. Could be their family members too, but I doubt their family members would be as demanding of them. It did say this was supposed to be their toughest challenge yet, so I'm gonna go with celebrities.

It's gonna be their family members.

It's "that time" in the show when family members show up and they have to cook for them. And most people find it hard to cook for family 'cuz their criticism is felt deeper and more personally.

Hmmmm Celebrity Chefs. Excellent idea! Who could they be? They'd have to be instantly recognizable not only by the contestants but by the general viewing public. Not just by name, but by face, as well. Let's make a list! Who'd you want to see?

Wolfgang Puck?

Emeril?

Rachel Ray?

Paula Deen?

Tom Colicchio (wait, he's on a competing elimination-style show on a competing network...)?

Padma (is she an actual chef?)?

Mario Pierre White (whoops, also on a competing elimination show, but maybe he'll cut HK a break, since GR is a protege )?

Anyone else you can think of?

I love Paul Prudhomme, and I'd recognise him in a minute. I wonder, do you think he's face-famous with the general public? If so, let's put him on the list!

I was just thinking about this .... If Ji didn't injure her foot, we'd be seeing Ji, Danny and Paula in the top 3. Madam Donkey (Andrea) would have been gone a long time ago.

yep, so true. I thought about that a couple of weeks ago.
I hope they bring her back next season.

Maybe that's the big surprise. They can bring Ji back into the competition now and she will kick some butt!

Wasn't Ji just on one epi? How do you all know she would still be around? What made her seem to be a cut above the others from the start of this season. I see a lot of you saying how good she was I only remember her in the epi she left in. Do I need to go see a memory therapist?

Yes.

Ji was on for a few episodes and did very well. She was the only competitor who really seemed to know her stuff and have it all together.
