I hope that's true...the guy has spent, what, fifteen minutes total with his daughter? I used to like the character, just hope he stays around this time.
As for the 'Dead Is Dead' mandate, we'll see...I just don't see them permanently writing off certain characters, though. I think the only character who has died and stayed dead is Isabella (and Lexie, at this point, but she's a Di Mera, so...).

The arson squad or whatever they call it will probably be able to determine where the fire came from. How is Chase going to explain it? With all the odd things he has been doing lately, everyone will think he started it
for some crazy reason like Ciara's rejecting him or Hope's making him live under her rules.
He might not want to admit he was fooled by Andre.
