True. Houstonians will go nuts in these versus threads if you try to use anything outside of Dallas's city limits to discuss the area's strengths. They're certainly not shy on using their suburbs or Galveston as Houston's strengths.
Now....again.... Whats your excuse for Galveston?

D/FW does mop up Oklahoma....Bryan County Oklahoma.

Pathetic

Dallas is trying to steal East Texas too to artificially inflate its population numbers. Athens is now a part of Dallas' CSA & it has a Tyler area code!!! More people from Athens commute into Tyler & Smith County for work than Dallas.

That has nothing to do with Dallas. The Government makes the boundaries for the CSA and MSA.

D/FW can add up all its skylines it still won't equal whats in the Houston region (The Woodlands, Galveston, Greenspoint, Westchase, Memorial, Energy Corridor, etc.)

There are more skyscrapers inside Houston's 610 Loop alone than that of Dallas & Fort Worth combined. Whats that a 4-8 mile radius compared to a 30+ mile radius?

And yet we are STILL the larger metro....by land and by population...And for the combined skyline speil .that could very well be true.....but there is no way to prove it. And besides, if you put DtD,DtFW,The platinum Corridor, LasColinas, Galleria area,Medical city,Uptown,Richardson Corridor and Cityplace together in one area.. it wouldn't be too much smaller. ...You are underestimating DFW.

That's like, your opinion man. If you can provide a link to what your saying I would greatly appreciate you Matt. I have yet to see combined skyscrapers for the entire metros and that info would be really interesting to look at.

You forgot the area along I-75, and North Park. Also if your going to name Uptown you should also include Victory Park, Turtle Creek, Design District, and the section leading up to SW Medical Center.
