^ those first two are sick I really like cam shots from towers (like the ones news outlets use). It just looks natural to me for some reason. Like the difference from someone posing for a pic to just a random shot of the person lol.

It does look great.

But as more pics get posted, DT Dallas keeps looking smaller and smaller.

Heck I don't remember it being that small. Dallas posters keep talking about density and connectivity, but the buildings in these photos make it look like every time I blink an open space opens up in Dallas

On the Downtown side there's open spaces but not on the Uptown side. Those spaces are mostly parking lots. They serve the Dallas World Aquarium, Perot Museum of Nature and Science, Office Buildings, and some other things. But there are some developments to fill those spaces.

Downtown Parking Lot Maps - SkyscraperPage Forum
Old Urbanist: We Are the 25%: Looking at Street Area Percentages and Surface Parking

21% of downtown Houston is parking lots. It's probably the same in Dallas. Both cities need a lot of building before they have legitimate downtown areas.

agreed, but the future of these downtowns (Houston at least) is bright with all of the potential held by the empty lots. both cities are planning big developments and slowly filling in these lots. for the record though, Houstons downtown has an additional half a square mile filled with skyscrapers..

i saw that earlier too! very exciting news, though im not holding out on it being a supertall, dont want to get my hopes up. it was only 41 stories to begin with (though the architectural feature on the roof made it taller than BG Place), i cant see them adding another 25-30 floors, but that would be amazing. it will definitely make an impact on the skyline though. i cant wait to watch multiple 50+ story buildings rise at once in downtown.
