On the real though, I welcome the renovations to the exxonmobil building and look forward to seeing what the winning firm comes up with. If that design didnt win it, one would hope the winner would be an even better design?
You better be glad I can't think of something to brag about so it can suppress my jealousy of Houston's new tower.

I don't think the ExxonMobil needs a exterior renovation maybe just a interior renovation.

agreed, it doesnt NEED it, but it sure would help modernize the skyline. im just glad theyre starting to renovate some of these older mediocre buildings and bring them into the 21st century.

They are stating to do that in Dallas but the largest one (Elm Place) which has been closed since 2010 needs to be redeveloped ASAP.

The Exxonmobil tower definitely could use some redevelopment. It is sooo uugglly! It would be different if we were trying to preserve the look of it if it had a crown or something.

Maybe they need to clean up the exterior or something but I like it the way it is.

I like the Federal building new look, don't like the Exxon upgrade. I think it is old school classy and something different in the skyline. They are just going to turn it into another glass box. why turn an oddball building into a plain glass box

agreed, im glad they updated the Federal building. it was so noticeable right there on the southwest corner of the freeway in downtown, its much more pleasing to the eye now. Dallaz pointed out a post from swamplot saying that rendering (for Exxonmobil building) wasnt the design chosen so we still dont know what it will look like. they cant do anything with it until Exxon gets everyone out in 2015 anyways.
