The City of Dallas needs to realize that the Northern suburbs are gonna continue to take companies away until they do something about it.

I say the City should merge with the Northern suburbs because it's not gonna stop until they do so.

Several reliable sources on HAIF say a 102-Story tower may be planned for downtown near Minute Maid Park.

It was first mentioned a few days after the Chevron tower was announced.

Don’t worry my friend. I have reliable sources that tell me a 100+ story tower is coming to DTHouston very soon.

It is s only a rendering. Once completed I believe it will appear very sleek. It seems it may be almost 800 feet high. It is also bringing more jobs to Houston. I think Hines is next at 609 Main St. I have heard that a very tall skyscraper will go up by Minute Maid Park because it is out of HOU airport flight pattern. With the tax abatements a lot of buildings have already been announced. I believe a little boom is coming for downtown. I wonder what Trump is up to?
and new info today, by lockmat:

Urby, I talked to my elevator man and he said a developer tried to build a 102-story building in Dallas but the airport shot it down an now he is planning it for Houston.

Here is a great shot of 5 or so of Houstons many skylines, all merged together. imagine how dense downtown would be if all of the buildings were built there.

the trees may lose their leaves, but at least the grass is still green. agreed, besides the skyline, this picture isnt the greatest.. it would of been nice if they cropped out the construction site at the bottom. lol

In a city where we actually have measurable snow, it's hard to keep grass green.

and in a city located on planet earth, revolving around the sun while tilting on an axis, its hard to keep the leaves from falling off the trees in the fall..

I never said they didn't.

Matt seems to exaggerate so much, he pained a picture in the minds of many C-D posters that Houston was green a heck during winter.

haha i was just messing with you. Houston IS very green in the winter compared to most cities, but like you said thats because our grass doesnt die from snowfall.
the brownest ive ever seen Houston was during the summertime a couple years ago, when there was a bad drought. i flew in from Florida and couldnt believe how brown all the grass looked from the sky.

That was taken near the Ship Channel. Not exactly Houston's most beautiful area of town.
