For completely different reasons, no doubt. You also think Dallas' skyline is incredible, so I doubt we have the same tastes.

These are more my style

Dallas and Houston are more alike than they are like either of those.

I never said the Dallas skyline was incredible. I do think its the most interesting one in Texas though. And to be honest I do wish we had a skyline as large as Houston..To me thats the only Wow factor about the houston skyline. In Dtd everything is on a smaller scale. Houston has wider streets and a better street grid downtown...But no worries from Dallas.... we will eventually start to fill in. We will definately see alot of cranes in DOWNTOWN in the upcoming 2 yeats. Its about to be even more exciting to be in Dallas....

He was talking in comparison to downtown Houston.

It's amazing, coming from other places like Denver CO, Dallas seems so big and grand. But in comparison to Houston, Dallas seems pretty miniature, at least it feels that way to me.

Houston's downtown reminds me of a kite. It's got the big cluster, and then just an odd trail of tallish buildings stretching to the (east, north? I can't remember) along until you get to the end.

Lol, neither east nor north. I think you mean west along Allen Parkway. There are tallish buildings going a ways up there and has a sizeable amount of office space.

Odd comparison.

Dallas may have more buildings (especially residential) around its CBD with Uptown being next door, but apparently with the extra floor count in Houston's CBD it still comes out on top for total office space. According to HtownLove, Downtown Houston is larger than both Downtown & Uptown Dallas combined. Houston's TMC alone could go toe to toe with Downtown Dallas for office space.

How does he know that? I'm still trying to find out the land area of Uptown.
