I must need a break. See you all in a month.
Hey, I never said I liked Dallas' lighting. Just the architecture.

I like this

Not this

^^I mean, it's neat, but not what I would want for my own city.

You picked two of the worst pics of Dallas I have ever seen.
One looks like how Detroit might look after 60 more years of decline, the other is pure cheese.

Houston has more variety of architectural gems, sorry.

That's the most extreme exaggeration I have ever heard.

I picked the photos that got my point across.

The same for Houston:

Incredible

Revolting

The best thing about the first pic is that Heritage Plaza is hidden from view. It doesn't even exist in that shot. I can also pretend that the other half of the skyline looks like this

I know you have issues respecting personal opinions, but these are mine.

I guess i'm just guilty of being a sucker for lighting. To me, it helps an area feel more vibrant.

I dunno, the revolting shot looked better than the incredible shot to me.
What you smoking?

Well, truth be told, I have never understood how skylines effect any measure of quality of life. So, if you prefer one or the other, it doesn't really matter. To me, Houston's is more sculptural and attractive. I can see how people would prefer Dallas, though.

Again, I have to disagree. You know how much I'm in love with my city, but driving by downtown can be depressing. I can only dream of driving past Chicago's Gold Coast skyline every day.

Houston has height, mass, and it does have its gems, but I'm not seeing how anyone can look at this and not see it as bland and uninspired
