You cannot see the Trinity, because of the 60+ foot levees and because of the trees and buildings.

I read somewhere that Houston has 6 of Forbes "Worlds biggest companies" and Chicago only has 2.

Wow, that's especially a smackdown, considering Chicago claims Boeing as one of it's 2 companies. Boeing just moved their HQ there for tax breaks, and only has 500 or so employees there... vs over 70,000 still in Washington.

Heck, even Texas has way more Boeing employees than Illinois (TX has over 5600). Boeing: Boeing Employment Numbers

First time I was there the city reminded me of Dallas with slight differences of course. Nothing more nothing less. LA was a totally different story. Please try not to inflate Houston and put it on a level with LA. It just isn't.

p.s. I think it's funny how some people wanna say "Well, Dallas has Ft. Worth and the MSA is ONLY 600,000 more" but then wanna brag about how their city is denser, yeah and by how much? It ain't like comparing NYC density to OKC or something. Does anyone have any current raw data for urbanized population of cities cause from what I've found so far it doesn't look like the difference in density is that much.
And I hope houston NEVER becomes LA...

Was in the D last week for some fun and games and the arch is impressive when you're heading south on Dallas Tollway! Gonna be cool. The additions to the Arts District are also very nice. Congrats to the D!

The Arch must be something you gotta see in person. I have not, but I am not liking the picture. Sometimes pics don't do things justice
