The parks department didn't choose his plan. (they owned the land)

They want a park with no buildings on it. Since he's buying this land, he can build whatever structure he wants.

About as serious as 7200 Main?

They hired HOK for their plans too, and are the same people behind the new Springwood Village/CityPlace development around Exxon..

What is esq? I think you mean esque.. How does it look dallasy? There has never been an official announcement. HOK has it listed as an ongoing project. A variance request for the property was put in earlier this year..

Omg.. I just read the article after reading about an office component to this project on another site (I assumed it was basically the same pacific plaza plan).

"Sarimsakci said he's working with architecture firm HOK on plans to design the four towers. On the wish list: 1,200 condo units, up to 300,000 square feet of retail space, up to 3 million square feet of office space and a 200-room ultra-luxury hotel."

Exclusive: Turkish developer to buy land near Dallas City Hall for $1.2B sky-high project - Dallas Business Journal

THREE MILLION square feet, of OFFICE space??? Downtown Dallas has over 25% office vacancy already..
And how many more empty condo towers does downtown Dallas need? Just being real...
