Who cares which metro area is the largest? I sure as heck don't. I'm not going to pack up and move just because that metro area is bigger than this one. If that is what you care about then move to Atlanta. These city against city arguments are stupid and pointless. This thread should be closed.

LOL How I miss coming to the sc forums and seeing these arguments....Living in GA and NC I never here about Greenville or Columbia (My hometown and LOVE it).....It's Charleston this and Charleston that....Think about the rest of the USA thinks when they think of SC...and the first thing to pop in their head ain't my awesome hometown of Columbia nor is it Greenville, no offense. And they are not thinking about city size

From my experience in the northeast, they're actually thinking of Myrtle Beach and Hilton Head, not even Charleston.

Point is they know about Charleston though too...If it's not a city on the coast then it's irrelevant outside the state to out of towners. Im just saying, and it has nothing to do with how big the city is

Well, of course. Their sole interest in the state is vacation.

That has been my experience also, when you mention SC most people think of Charleston.
