I currently have Time Warner everything. Phone, Internet and cable TV w/DVR. TW is offering a special price of $126.99 for a 2 year contract that covers basically what I have now. No more no less except Free Power Boost for the Internet. I have no premium movie channels and I don't see where this comes with any. This will only save me about $20 a month although I think if I press the issue I can get it lower. I am wondering if I can get basically the same thing from other companies for cheaper. I'm considering dropping the land lines and just using cell phones since we have them already. I don't want to lose any TV channels that I watch frequently and I don't want to put up with slow or inconsistent Internet. Any ideas from people who have done this type of switch would be appreciated. Thanks

There are cheaper phone providers, like Ooma and MagicJack, that can be made to work over your broadband connection. Will a bundle without phone service cost you less?

In my experience, AT&T DSL is not noticeably slower and it works more consistently than TWC cable modem service. I haven't tried their UVerse service.

I have T-Mobile and they offered for additional $10 land line for my computer.
For Internet connection I use U-Verse and pay flat rate of $25 for 1.5 Mbps. The service is good and I do not have any problems with it.
My TV channels are provided by Dish Network. I don't spend much time watching TV, so I decided to get basic channels (local) for $9.95 and buy premium movie channels one packet at the time. I rotate them frequently. My TV bill is usually around $27 all included ( it seems to me that Dish Network don't rise the prices very often ).
It works for me and I don't have contract with anybody.

I have UVerse and I love it. Dont believe the hype that watching HD movies and using the internet at the same time will slow you down on UVerse. Total crap. The sound quality is excellent as is the video quality. You can get about 350-400 channels for about 120 a month including 10mbps internet. I have my phone through the normal ATT service, not UVerse.

Honestly, maybe about 50 but we dont go out to the movies (too costly and nothing good being made by Hollywood), we dont go to the bars etc. This is our *only* real entertainment and we can always get movies on the pay per view. I just wanted the variety of channels. Many of them are are premium channels too. I probably have 10 HBO and 10 or so Showtime etc.
