Breakfast on Saturday 8 AM and sometimes on Sunday 8 AM. Dinner, many times during the month. But, many times, we will order one meal and share it.

In Las Vegas, now is a perfect time to eat out & simultaneously help those who are less fortunate as it is Las Vegas Restaurant Week. https://restaurantweeklv.org/

BACKGROUND

Las Vegas Restaurant Week returns June 3–June 14, 2024

Participating restaurants across Las Vegas & Henderson create prix fixe menus — some offering breakfast, brunch, lunch and/or dinner — at price points ranging from $20 to $120. A fixed portion of the meal’s price tag will directly support Three Square Food Bank and the many Southern Nevadans who are food insecure. (I'm a Three Square volunteer.)

It is a great way to support the local food bank while enjoying a nice meal.

When you click on https://restaurantweeklv.org/ you'll see over 200 participating restaurants & their prix fixe menus. Which look great to you?

So your outdoor activities are dining in the cool hours?

What do you DO all day?

It's because it's...the desert.

You might want to re-think your travel days, it's going to be even hotter than normal for this time of year.

Do not even consider Arizona and probably eat at home more since you say you two are limited on funds

I'm strictly guessing here, but I'm thinking that most of the folks in this thread are not of our age.

Anyway, since I'll be 75 next week, and my wife is already 76, we do very little when winter is in full grip and/or when the high heat is on. Basically our only outdoor activities during high heat is walking from our apartment to our vehicle, driving to restaurant and walking in. Or, sometimes, ordering a meal "to go". After eating at a restaurant, we may go grocery shopping. That's pretty much it.

Who said anything about "limited funds"?? Just because we can't afford a 55 Plus Community? However, the 2021 Dodge Durango GT we bought here last Oct., we paid in full. IOW, no monthly payments at all. So, we aren't THAT limited in funds, but we definitely aren't rich!
