I think it's wonderful that you taking your children to church, you are right family's should go together, no child is too young to be taken to church.
amen to never too young!! mine have been since they were born
My son is at the age where he knows the difference between good behavior and bad behavior, he just hasn't decided to actually behave well. He knows why people go to hell, and since he also knows he was behaving badly and being disrespectful in God's house, well I thought it was actually quite intuitive of him to be a little worried about it. It was also dang cute of him.
No doubt cute ...(Like I said, Readers Digest material)but being bad does not cause one to go to hell...rejecting God's one and only Son does. We are all too sin filled to go to Heaven. Only by the Blood of Christ do we enter Heaven. Christ covers all sin in those who believe on His Name.
That is all I am saying.

i wasnt saying you used bad words-lol sorry if I implied that, just mine listen very intently to what I say and they tell my mother everything and im 33-lol
My goodness you are still a baby yourself!...I feel old again. No I didn't think you were saying I used bad language I actually thought you were saying "hell" was a bad word, and I think it can be unless you are referring to the actual place...so I didn't correct him for that...maybe I should have, but I was still at a loss from the question. Don't worry mine love to tattle on daddy as well...we were driving one day and I got cut off...my little one (he was three then) told me I did it "wrong"...I asked him what he meant and he said, "you're supposed to say you stupid $%&@#$^! to the other car"...let's just say daddy was in a lot of trouble that day...LOL

Yep, you can't get away with anything when you have kids!!! LOL Reminds me of one time we were out in the car and my son used kind of a vulgar expression shall we say, to describe traffic bumps on the street. I asked him where he learned that word and without hesitation, he replied, "Pastor So and So (the names have been changed to protect the guilty!) That was our church's children's pastor. So not too long after that, I ran into the children's pastor at church and jokingly "called him on it!" He kinda cringed apologetically, and said, " Well, Miss Paula, I don't RECALL ever using that word in front of the kids, but I can't categorically deny it because I do use that term!" LOL. Kids just don't miss a trick, do they? (My son also told some tales about "Mom" too, but that shall go unreported here on CD forum!)

Oh I would have loved to see the Pastor's face when you asked him!...LOL Mine has stories about me too...but if you don't tell I won't either!
I would have said to my five year old, "No, people don't go to Hell because they misbehave. They go to Hell because they don't believe in Jesus."
I learned the following song when I was little and used to sing it to my son and daughter as well. They loved it with its catchy little tune.
My mother told me something that little boys (girls) should know.
It's all about the devil and I learned to hate him so.
If you forget to say your prayers, the devil wears a grin.
So open up your heart and let the Son shine in.

Well I have told them if they sin they are going also...I think he thought misbehaving in church was a sin. But the song is too cute.
Christians are sinners too though. We're not perfect; we're just forgiven.
Only Christians?? I'm sorry to butt in, but do you all really believe this? That only Christians can sin & be forgiven, but the rest are damned... even if they're close to "perfect", and commit less sin than a Christian? This kinda blows my mind. Oh, and I think you should put the above quote on a bumper sticker and market it! Might get your car keyed, but it would make a bunch of money... LOL.
