Uh-oh. I hope the Packers' win doesn't mean we are going to have a moderator in a bad mood.
I hear you. Maybe we should go to the prayer thread and ask for good humor for the mods. MAYBE if they won the lottery they would less likely to be in a bad mood here.

Well if I win the lottery I may not be here..But you can still say a prayer..Maybe that the contractors finish the job before summer gets here..It has been a loooong 6-7 months since the flood
Then I was standing on the highest mountain of them all, and round about beneath me was the whole hoop of the world. And while I stood there I saw more than I can tell and I understood more than I saw; for I was seeing in a sacred manner the shapes of all things in the spirit, and the shape of all shapes as they must live together like one being. And I saw that the sacred hoop of my people was one of many hoops that made one circle, wide as daylight and as starlight, and in the center grew one mighty flowering tree to shelter all the children of one mother and one father. And I saw that it was holy.
These are the words of Black Elk that were spoken in 1931.
With the events that are happening in the world today, I would say that Black Elk had a vision far ahead of his time.
Tsudawadisgv: Evening Shade still a close community
Quote:
EVENING SHADE, Okla. – Nestled in a valley between two hills 28 miles south of Tahlequah sits the small, tight-knit community of Suhiye tsudawadisgv, as its known by the older Cherokees who have lived in the area most of their lives.
Other residents just call it tsudawadisgv or “shade.” But no matter what it’s called, it’s small. It has about 90 residents, mostly Cherokee citizens, who belong to one of five Cherokee families that have lived in Evening Shade for several decades.
Most of you would really enjoy the story of a really small community with a sense of history.
