As a non-believer, I require proof from those who want to outlaw gay marriage because their God says its an abomination, or when a group wants their beliefs taught in public schools along side science. Those are only two reasons I require proof from those who make outrageous claims.
Those are man made problems, talk to your lawmakers.
if god wants people to know he exists why not just show himself?
or at least send one of his representatives (angels) to appear before man?
to leave no doubt in anyone's mind that he is real? what is he afraid of?
that way no one can have any doubt. because as it stands there is still
not one shred of proof god exists beyond people's imagination and superstition.
"Im big on that, if i can see something, i don't know, it kinda helps the credibility along, ya know?"

I have, and many of the lawmakers feel the same way, thus the reason that in 6 states those who don't believe in the Christian God are prohibited from holding public office. Do you not consider these legitimate reasons for asking for proof?

How do you know he hasn't and you just didn't figure it out who he was.

No, because you are still up against a man made problem. Those who make the laws will protect their position and pander to their voter base. Once again, how do you prove there is no God because the absence of proof has still not been effective.

Nearly ALL problems are man-made, but these are based in the belief of a deity and the belief that his ideals should be implemented in everyone's lives. When someone wants to use this as a justification for voting for those who have the ability to implement these law or for implementing these laws as with the lawmakers, then one must ask for proof that this deity exists and that he wants these laws implemented.
The Bible cannot stand as a historical record of any events since we know that the Flood, the Exodus, and the Tower of Babel didn't happen. The Bible's record is too poor to use as a historical document.
I accept that. I think it is not entirely accurate, it is a crude story about God's encounters with humans.
Those are just stories from an ancient book, there is no truth to them. God doesn't show himself because he does not exist. Sure there would be people who would not want to worship him like devil worshipers and the like but that's just another lame attempt from Christians trying to make excuses for their god. Doesn't fly and there is no good reason why, as the OP stated, for him to NOT show himself.
People who seek God with an open heart and mind often have supernatural experiences. I once had a pastor who claimed that his body got pinned under a tractor in the field that rolled over and an angel came and lifted it off of him. There are lots of amazing encounters, but God isn't going to waste His time revealing himself to people who hate righteousness and Christianity.

Lack of evidence is not proof that it never happened. And if your statement was true, archaeology should be constantly disproving the Bible, not the other way around.
