Thanks for all the support Dirt!! I repped you, but messed up trying to sign my name and say thanks there.
She/he IS being a little nasty. I won't bother enough to point out that I am also well known on both sides of the family for my fantastic potato salad, and am also asked to bring it to gatherings.

Has anyone ever had potato salad Banchan at a Korean restaurant? I found out their secret ingredient - Biofeel, a yogurt drink.

Never been in a Korean joint. I see that a certain convenience store that sells fuel is now pushing Korean bbq. Maybe a side of potato salad will be added later.

Some folks really like Korean-style potato salad, others don't. I was curious about what made Korean potato salad so different from our southern style.

I'm quite happy with my nuclear feats with potato salad. If only my wife had the taste buds for it. Her day job has her total devotion so she want see this post.

can I use cold potatoes cooked the day before for potato salad? Will the consistency still be the same?

We don't make it often but it MUST have celery and celery seed. In abundance.

Could be okay if this is the consistency you want. My family prefers taters that are somewhat smushed in order to take on other ingredients. Whatever flys your skirt up is the way to go.

Yum now I'm all hungry for potato salad! Thanks for sharing everyone.

I am a little surprised, though, that a thread for potato salad recipes could turn ugly in spots. LOL

My potato salad is REALLY simple, red potatoes, unpeeled, chopped, boiled until pretty soft. Fresh dill, mayo, a little purple onion and fresh ground pepper. It's bland enough that you can serve it with spicy barbecue or other highly flavored items and it doesn't have any of the additions that picky eaters might not like.

Ha ha!! You start dissin' someone's Potato salad, Deviled eggs, or BBQ sauce, and the fur will start to fly. The plain truth is we all have our preferences, and to try to force them on someone else is fruitless. I'm sure I'd be perfectly happy with potato salad prepared by anyone in the Food forum.

Now, what brand of mayo is best for potato salad?
