Miracle Whip = no, never, not in anything. Ever.

I like Duke's, overall (though it's not commonly found in this region except at military commissaries). But in potato salad and egg salad, I prefer Hellman's.

I keep my potato salad really simple and it's a favourite in the family. I don't like to refrigerate it so it's made as close to serving time as possible.

I use red skinned potatoes, hellmans mayonnaise, (less than normal, never creamy), corn niblets, green onions and a MASSIVE amount of curly parsley chopped up.

My mother's (and now my recipe ) for potato salad is rather simple. Potatoes (doesn't matter the kind), mayonnaise, sweet relish, salt, pepper, and a pinch of garlic powder. Simple, but delicious!

Last time I made potato salad, besides the usual mayo/eggs/vinegar/pickle relish/celery seed/S & P, I added a bit of curry powder and it really added a nice touch.

I always add a little dill pickle juice along with the mayo and mustard and relish. It makes it creamier. You also have to have lots of eggs.

I make the basic potatoe salad and then I add fresh cut tomatoes and just a pinch of basil .I also add a pinch of dill . No pickles my grandma told me that pickles drown the flavor of the potatoe .

I don't like mustard in my potato salad - I used mayo, salt, pepper, and a good dose of apple cider vinegar. YUM! Fresh dill works, too...

Chopped celery and onion, too.

Well, I never ever make it - I'm not a fan (don't mind the taste - that's GOOD - it's a textural thing pretty much). My husband does like it (very occasionally) and when he wants it, we will buy it at the deli. He prefers the mustardy type - and for the life of me, I swear it only had chopped onion and celery in it besides potato and the mayo/dressing/whatever it was. I am not all that familiar with the types, so I can't be any more specific. I think the little sign in the case says "Homestyle Potato Salad" but don't hold me to that.
