I think this thread morphed into talking about roughly 3 different construction projects along the Spring Forest corridor so you're valid in being confused, lol.

UPDATE ON SHEETZ IN NORTH RALEIGH

I passed the corner of Millbrook and Green Roads today and saw the land cleared and a sign posted saying that Sheetz was coming there.

Obviously, Sheetz would not locate at Millbrook and Green with a second location at Atlantic and Old Wake Forest. The Atlantic and Old Wake Forest spot would be worthless unless millions were spent to redesign the disgracefully messed up intersection.

Now, we must wonder what's coming at Atlantic and Old Wake Forest.

Don't think the lousy location would create repeat shoppers.

I emailed Sheetz and they told me that plans for the location at Atlantic and Old Wake Forest were underway and I could look forward (granted I have one near me already and would have no reason to visit this one) to this location when work is completed. So I take the reply I got as a yes, It's a Sheetz on that corner.

Strange since their sign is on Green and Millbrook. Nothing on Atlantic and Spring Forest.

If they come to Atlantic and Spring Forest without a multi-million intersection redesign, Sheetz will have very disappointing results during the high traffic parts of weekdays since easy in and easy out are essential to the success of a quick service business.

Went to the Raleigh planning website and found:

1. Sheetz on Millbrook at Green
2. Waffle House on Atlantic near Dixie Forest

Sounds like a very poor site choice for Waffle House since it will be a tough in-and-out during peak traffic.

What is going on with all these waffle houses lately? I know the brand has been around forever, but these past few years it seems like they are popping up EVERYWERE! I even saw a new one on a recent trip to Key West!!
