I have had the valve on the squeeze bulb go bad. I also had one bad right out of the box.

So what was your problem? the fuel/water separator housing? Mine is looking rather pitted on top.
Mike

Yes, exactly. I called it the cap...housing, same thing. Mine was horribly corroded. The inner corrosion likely prevented a good seal and didn't allow the fuel pump to draw the fuel from the tank, through the filter, into the carbs. Change yours now, along with the hose clamps on the fuel lines.

We're having our house renovated, which you wouldn't think would intersect with fishing, but think again. We had many switches moved, circuits added, etc. At some point, the electricians turned off the power to my bait freezer in the garage, and never turned it back on. Do you know what 50 lbs of frozen chum, shrimp, ladyfish, mullet and sardines smells like after a week? Not pretty; I double-bagged the mess, and the poor trash guys still almost hurled; it's not clear that I can ever get the funk out of the freezer. I'm in the market for a circuit alarm.

Ugh!

After washing it out good and letting it dry, try spraybombing it with frebreeze type product and close the freezer lid tight. Let is sit for a while (a day?) like that. Let me know how it works.

Maybe pour a small box of baking soda on a paper plate and put that in too.

Otherwise leave open in the full sun for a while...

Ugh!

Reminds me of a time a group of us went fishing on the Ch. Bay. We were catching spot for bait. One guy puts a spot in another guys tackle bag. Guy didnt open the bag for about a month...It was BAD!

I had a buddy in Minnesota go to Colorado on an elk hunt. Bagged a big bull. Processed the meat and put it in his freezer. Two days later they lost power when it came back on the only breaker that stayed off was the freezer.A week later he started smelling something. Only got to eat a couple elk steaks before it all spoiled
