I think he is worse than Bush. Bush at least stood for something and did some things. Obama just tells everyone what they want to hear and then does nothing. Case in point
1. He tells Gays he is going to fight for their rights yet doesn't repeal Don't Ask Don't Tell. He has done regarding Gay marriage rights
2. He claims he is going to pull out 20,000 troops from Iraq by August of 2009 and does nothing.
3. He campaings in Ohio and tells them he is going to offer companies huge tax breaks to hire American employees yet has done nothing. And then he has the nerve to go back into Ohio and say he will fight for them. Shameless if you ask me
4. He blasts Bush and the administration for torturing people at GITMO and promises to close it but its still open
5. He campaigns and tells people he doesn't desire universal healthcare but simply wants reforms. He wins the Presidency and tries to install universal healthcare and copy a European model
6. He has the nerve to accept the Nobel Peace Prize when he acknowledged he did nothing to deserve it. Again, all talk and no action. If he meant it, he should have not accepted the award
The public rose up against obamacare - are you really going to put forth the unbelievable spin they did that because they wanted a public option?
You are correct, the public option put forth, was no option, the spin was the GOOD PEOPLE of Mass, letting him clearly know, just how they feel about his health care, and other policies.
He has the WH, the House and the Senate (59, was 60).
It's his own party that is at odds AND the American finally getting through.
He actually never had 60 in the senate, you must be thinking of Lieberman (I) from Connecticut who opposed Obama's healthcare from the start because of the huge insurance company presence in that state lobbying against it.
