"In a shift in policy, President Barack Obama said on Friday his White House will release the names of most visitors to satisfy watchdog groups who demanded to know which lobbyists might be attempting to influence policy."

Scrubba Dub Dub, Three Men In a Tub!

When the list is scrubbed of political influence, of course we'll be transparent! Golly gee!

Liberal Gullibility reaches a new high with each passing day.

The new policy will not include "a small group of appointments that cannot be disclosed because of national security imperatives or their necessarily confidential nature (such as a visit by a possible Supreme Court nominee)," the White House said.

Funny how you boldface "national security imperatives" but completely ignore the "necessarily confidential nature" part of the statement, which is the broadstroke that gives the Administration the right declare confidential anything it deems not worthy of public eyes. Could that not be used to hide political influence via outside lobbyists? Of course it could. To think otherwise is gullibilty to the nth degree.

Obama could deem whatever he wants as confidential. However, he has the public to answer to, and I'm sure he knows this.

Unlike you, I truly believe Obama is a good man inside, and he will use this policy to provide transparency to his White House.

Obama doesn't have a hidden personal agenda (Cheney - Halliburton / Bush - Oil) that we have to worry about.

Obama's background is in law, and helping communities.

He is not trying to increase his own personal wealth, or help a few wealthy oil buddies get even more wealthy through his presidency.

Only in your world would lobbyists and like be a part of "necessarily confidential nature". Or, may be, your thingy won't get twisted if this never happened. Ostrich syndrome strikes again.
