"In a shift in policy, President Barack Obama said on Friday his White House will release the names of most visitors to satisfy watchdog groups who demanded to know which lobbyists might be attempting to influence policy."
And NOT those that have visited the WH in the last 8 months - starting in mid-Sept, they will release the names.

THE most transparent WH - evah. Hogwash.

The policy will take affect on Sept. 15, and will not be retroactive to the beginning of Mr. Obama’s presidency. The policy change was first reported by USA Today.

Not to my knowledge.

I heard about this a few days ago, and never saw any threads about it.

Good idea. Seems like an incredibly easy fix, though. Why didnt he do this 8 months ago? Who has come and gone since then?

Pretty funny...the White House will release visitor names it wants the public to know and will just not release the ones it doesnt want to know. "Transparency" my ass...it will never exist no matter who is President or running the White House.

White House to Announce New Policy Disclosing Visitors to White House* - Political Punch

That's a LOT BETTER than having a White House which was kept "secret to the public" for the ENTIRE EIGHT YEARS of the Bush administration.

Why is it that I continue to get the notion that liberals believe everything they are told at face value? Does it not ever occur to you folks that everything that comes from a politician, whether written or vocal, is caveated with preemptive language?

It's mind-boggling the sheer amount of reverence you folks exhibit towards one man.
