Texas people are the best. Thank You.

Did you see the ABC news article on the training center down at TX A & M for rescue teams that do this kind of work ? We Texans usually have very big hearts.

No but I donate to Dr's Without Borders and Habitat for Humanity every month and have for years. Unfortunately I can't donate to everything.

No. I already did with my taxes.

Not only that but I only get like 7 hours a week and get paid 9 an hour. I go to college and all that.

Me, too, along with http://www.mercycorps.org/.
Once Pat Robertson, the xian without a heart said not to donate, I immediately did so.

That's a question that doesn't concern most doners apparently.

You and Rush agree? Is night day? Is up down?

Ironically, yes, but I would argue that Rush's position is more of a Democratic response than a Republican one. Maybe he doesn't realize that.

Anyway, I can't donate because I have to save my money for first-class airfare. I take plane trips every month or two. The 1% Republican in me is taking responsibility for my own comfort.

American Red Cross: Donate Now

World Vision Online Donations:Haiti Earthquake Relief

Look, $10 is nothing...and so at this point it is negligible in terms of the impact. Plus, in principle, where is it all going? We know how the Red Cross handles things.

Most of us cannot go over there to help, so that is why we donate. I'm just having trouble being convinced that donating $10 or $100 is making any difference, that's all. And I know that donating $ to Haiti is not going to make me feel better about myself.

I know I'm overanalyzing it a bit but I think you're thinking in terms of how much one can afford vs how much impact that amount is going to really make in terms of helping Haitians. I simply disagree with you.

On top of this, I donate only to environmental causes. (Perhaps sometimes the Salvation Army for the American homeless.) The Haitian problem? Its environment. Read about it.

I'm more interested in the close to a TRILLION squandered by Bush to kill the Iraqis.

In case you're math challenged, 100 people donating $10 equals $1,000.

If you're not interested in donating, go justify yourself selfishness somewhere else.
