(2 Thessalonians 3:10-15) “. . . If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat. For we hear that there are some who walk among you in a disorderly manner, not working at all, but are busybodies. Now those who are such we command and exhort through our Lord Jesus Christ that they work in quietness and eat their own bread. But as for you, brethren, do not grow weary in doing good. And if anyone does not obey our word in this epistle, note that person and do not keep company with him, that he may be ashamed. Yet do not count him as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.”
"And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury. And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites. And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all: For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had."
Jesus was liberal with a bit of Communism thrown in. One should also note that being born a Hebrew in the Middle East, he very likely looked like an Arab, not the blue eyed, light haired person that is depicted in paintings. I was also surprised to find out that not everyone realizes that The Last Supper was in fact a Passover Seder.
Many on this forum claim to be Christians, yet they speak so disparagingly of "LIBERALS". Wasn't Jesus the original Bleeding Heart Liberal?
If you walk in his path, then why the anger? If you walk in his path, then why spew untruths? If you walk in his path, then why not embrace the Liberal philosophy?
Yes he was. All that talk of his about love, not judging others, healing, feeding the poor, teaching the poor to fish, isn't anything you can find on the right these days.

The right wing has hijacked Jesus and Christianity. It is the perfect vehicle for them to influence weak minded people. Why don't they see thru the hypocrisy? It is unbelievable!

Since this is an epistle and thus penned by man and not the spoken word of Jesus, we have always taken them a more fallible. We were taught that true charity is be given from your poverty not your wealth, and that if you had two, you were expected to give your neighbor one. The epistles were directions for basically keep peace in the commune, each working and each receiving.
The state of American Christians is reflected in the fact that there's a big market for stuff like this:
