The truth is, China is the most prominent threat to US interests and that of the world, exponentially greater than Russia, ...
Of course. China is exponentially greater than Russia in the size of their population and the size of their economy.
If Russia appears weak, China could be a serious threat ... to Russia.

It would be in the strategic interests of Russia to maintain positive relations with the United States. Putin should have known that a long time ago, but he didn't care.
We have tried to get along with Russia, the problems start with them, not with us, yet they immediately blame us for their problems. This kind of propaganda is for internal consumption in Russia. It is a political calculus.
Putin wants to be a dictator for life. He can't be that if the Russian people see the American republic and our democracy as a shining city on a hill. So long as we set a good example of what a true republic can do, we are a problem for Putin's political ambitions. He NEEDS to discredit us and other working democracies.
And as long as we are solid supporters of NATO, we are a problem for Putin's aggressive plans.
The hacking, the disinformation campaigns, election interference, the attempts to destabilize our society, the cyber attacks on our infrastructure and our government come from Russia. Russia has been at cyber warfare with our country for almost two decades. The boys from Olgino are among Russia's best front line troops in this effort.
Russia under Putin has been an enemy of the USA all along, all we have wanted to do is trade with them.
A friend married a woman from Russia some twenty years ago.
At the time, her opinion of Russian men is that they are lazy, violent drunks and poor husband prospects. She sought her fortunes elsewhere.
They have been married for several decades now and have grown kids. She is a good woman, hard working. Great cook. He feels like he hit the jackpot.
Between those being hauled off to war and those escaping the war, sounds like pickings will be even slimmer for Russian women.
People, and particularly Americans tend to have this image of Russia from old images of the old Soviet Union, run down, dingy, and dilapidated.
But if you actually look at some of the many videos of Moscow, and other cities and resort areas in Russia, what you’ll discover is that aside the language, it would be difficult to distinguish Moscow from any high end cosmopolitan city anywhere in the world. Some videos of Moscow’s busy streets, bustling with people really surprised me. What I noticed is the cleanliness, and how finely dressed the people were. And the women were especially stylish and attractive, but almost everyone appeared well put together, generally physically fit, and very upscale European. A young European couple who moved to Moscow have put up a series of videos of their life there, to include their trips to the grocery store, which was huge, and well stocked with just about anything you could want, including many brand named items one might find in a grocery store in any city in America. Scenes of busy streets, people using the subways, and traveling to and from work, paying subway fares with a swipe of their Apple iPhones, could be mistaken for the streets of Manhattan.
So, I find it terribly disturbing when people here demonize the Russian people as dirty rapists and murderers and terrorists, which is anything but true. In fact, these people are very much like us in so many ways, it’s hard to find a difference, except for perhaps the lack of homeless, and the general fitness and attractiveness of the people in general, compared to many of our cities whose citizens tend to dress and appear more “casualâ€.
The truth is, they are just like us. Just people who want to live, be happy and enjoy life. We have a lot more in common than people here have been led to believe.

No. Russians are not like us. Just today, international human rights investigators, not NATO, not Ukraine, tell of multiple instances of Russians torturing and raping children. Russians prove everyday with their actions that they were and remain barbarians.

Yup, it figures your analysis of Russia goes as deep as watching a video of nightlife in Moscow. Please tell us again how we are all so misinformed.

Right, Americans never have behaved like the Russians are doing right now in war
