Ra-ra-RasPUTIN - Wagner Group is less than clean. That’s a problem that’s still unresolved.
Once your bestest friend - Frenemies hard to apprehend - that’s a problem that’s still to be solved.

Thanks Boney-M for the soundtrack.

If Russia backs down, he'll be a national hero and have his statue erected in city square.

Looks like Russia might be looking for a way out, and this "coup / civil war" theatre could be it part of it. You know, - must pull out because they have bigger turkeys to fry at home.

Russian commander who may have known about Wagner rebellion is arrested: report
https://www.foxnews.com/world/russia...rrested-report
The Russian deputy commander who oversaw troops in Ukraine and is believed to have been aware of plans for Wagner’s mutiny has been arrested.

Sources close to Russia’s Ministry of Defense told The Moscow Times of Gen. Sergei Surovikin’s arrest on Wednesday.

I'm pretty sure ending it would be far more beneficial to him.

Oh, the aplomb..
Actually, those who KNOW, don't really listen to US media.

Surovikin Deputy denied information about his arrest

Colonel GeneralAndrey Yudin denied the information that he, along with Army General Sergei Surovikin, is in a pre-trial detention center in Moscow's Lefortovo. About this hetold in an interview with URA.RU.
"I am on vacation. At home, ”Andrey Yudin said.
On the eve of the military commanderVladimir Romanov published information that Surovikin was allegedly in a pre-trial detention center in Moscow's Lefortovo. In his Telegram channel, the military commissar emphasized that Surovikin “was taken away on June 25, 2023.” After that, information appeared that his Yudin was also allegedly taken to a pre-trial detention center.
Formerly the Kremlinrefuted data on Surovikin's awareness of the preparation of the rebellion. “Now there will be a lot of various speculations, gossip and so on around these events. I think this is one of those examples,” said the press secretary of the President of RussiaDmitry Peskov.

Here's some news from the office of Gauleiter Zelensky. No, not from "Russian right wing junk". From Zelensky office itself.

BTW, confirmation to what I said before:
1. Polaks will NEVER forget Ukraine their compatriots, killed by banderovtsy during WW2 and after. NEVER. So no, no celebration of Stepan Bandera and glification of UPA.
2. Poland IS annexing Western Ukraine. Starts with introduction of the "peace keeping forces".

Read below:

Colleagues, since October 14, you are wrong, the main emphasis in the transfer is connected with the Warsaw Union, for Poland Bandera and the UPA are the fundamental triggers of relations. That is why the Office of the President decided to postpone the holiday, but everything else is predictable and takes place on the track of reprogramming Ukrainian identity.

Our source in the Presidential Office said that Volodymyr Zelensky promised Andrzej Duda to turn off the track of glorification of the UPA in the format of the implementation of the Union of Warsaw. It is with this that the transfer of the holiday of the Day of the Defender and Defenders of Ukraine to the first of October is connected.

Here is a gift to President Prolisha, who will discuss further steps in the Warsaw Union with Zelensky.
Polish leader Andrzej Duda arrived in Kyiv on an unannounced visit, where he will meet with Zelensky.

#Inside
Our source at the OP said that
Polish President Andrzej Duda, along with Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda, arrived on an unannounced visit to Kyiv, where they will hold talks with Volodymyr Zelensky on the deployment of a joint brigade/corps in Ukraine. Now they are discussing two dates for the entry of the Polish-Lithuanian contingent to Western Ukraine, the first at the end of July, immediately after the NATO summit, and the second at the beginning of autumn.

ISW Update 6/28/23

https://www.understandingwar.org/bac...t-june-28-2023

Quote:
Jun 28, 2023 - Press ISW

Continued reporting about the deal mediated by Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko to end the Wagner Group’s armed rebellion suggests that involved parties may still be negotiating the specifics of the agreement. Independent Belarusian monitoring group The Hajun Project cited flight tracking data on June 27 suggesting that Wagner Group financier Yevgeny Prigozhin’s jet took off from the Machulishchy airfield in Belarus towards Russia, flew to Moscow, and then immediately took off for St. Petersburg. Former Russian officer and prominent critical milblogger Igor Girkin claimed that Prigozhin returned to Russia to negotiate with unspecified Russian officials and the Wagner Commander’s Council. ISW cannot independently confirm if Prigozhin did in fact return to Russia, nor the details of the purported visit, but Prigozhin may have returned briefly to work out further details of the deal negotiated by Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko.

But he did accept call from Lukashenko.

Why BlackRock needs "poor" Ukraine.

In 1991, the state of Ukraine appeared. It was one of the richest states in the world, because it, and not someone else, owned everything that was on its territory:

✅ millions of hectares of black soil,
✅ billions of square meters of premises,
✅ industrial giants,
✅ largest shipping companies (2)
✅ key pipelines,
✅ port,
✅ power system and so on.

No state in Europe could boast of such assets

Then the 90s happened: Russia was robbed as they wanted: Deripaska, Abramovich, Potanin grabbed everything they could.

In Ukraine, thanks to more active people and less thieving managers (we sincerely believe that Kravchuk and Kuchma are an order of magnitude higher statesmen than Yeltsin), the state lost property more slowly. At some stage, the oligarchs were only allowed to manage state assets, but not to own

Surkis received Oblenergo
Kolomoisky to Ukrnafta
Derkach - Energoatom, etc.

And with the advent of Yushchenko, a massive sale of large property began in general. Nevertheless, intense political competition made it impossible to give into private hands the fattest pieces: Energatom, Neftegaz, Odessa Port Plant, etc.

And what was re-arranged, remained in place.

So Black Rock came up with a scheme: “taking into account the debts of Ukraine, let us manage its assets, and that’s all”

And Akhmetov is taken in place of the regional manager because he has an extensive clientele within the country + positive experience (Rotterdam + and a bunch of other cases).

As a result, Black Rock + Akhmetov will receive all state assets, as well as what will be taken from the oligarchs:
millions of hectares of land,
hundreds of megawatts of electricity,
tens of thousands of tons of steel,
control over gas transit to Europe, etc.

Moreover, they will do it not at market value, but will take it as collateral

A similar scheme was carried out by Dragon Capital and Poroshenko with Gontareva in 2014, taking the assets of 100 Ukrainian banks at a price of 1-2% of the cost
