and Prigozhin probably sees himself as the next successor to Putin..

The fact that Russia assembled an enormous invasion force over several weeks under the guise of a training exercise is well documented and resolved. The very idea that Ukraine (a nation with one third the population of Russia and embroiled in a civil war) would make an unprovoked attack on Russia is absurd.

The fact that you would believe such a claim is even more absurd. Therefore, I don't think that even you believe it.

You are just repeating nonsense.
Agreed.

This..."Ukraine assembled a giant force to attack Russia" is pure fiction...
Ukraine attacking Russia is nonsense....totally made up fiction...

As difficult and painful the decision was to drop the nuke and kill tens of thousands of Japanese, it saved millions of American and Japanese lives.

If Russia nukes Ukranian cities, it would prevent maybe a few thousand soldier and civilians from being killed during the conflict, but it will inflict massive damage and casualties among the civilian population far outweighing the casualties from the conventional war that's going on.

I don't even know why I'm arguing with a Russian bot. What a pathetic argument you're making.
No, invasion on Manchuria left them with no options but to accept the US surrender terms.
Prior to that, during the SU neutrality, they were secretly negotiating with Stalin hoping to use him as a mediator for a better surrender deal.

Based on the opinion piece you linked, the atomic bombs did not end the war with Japan. So do you believe they will work for Russia now? If we followed this logic, NATO should continue to support Ukraine. Either Putin is bluffing when it comes to nuclear weapons or he will use one which will not end the war but potentially triggering MAD in the process.

Firstly, it was not "US surrender terms". The surrender terms were in the Potsdam Declaration .

NO, the Japanese were NOT secretly negotiating with Stalin.
No representative of the Japanese government was ever in direct or indirect communication with Stalin. The Japanese ambassador had been instructed to contact Molotov who refused to talk to them .
It was impossible for any of the allies to negotiate with Japan after the Potsdam Declaration was made.

No.

Soviet union did not sign the declaration.

But regardless, after the invasion of Manchuria, all of this was a no go anyway.

Lastly, the real reasons for the use of the new weapon were: 1. To test in the real world; 2. To send a warning to the Soviets.

As a result, 200 thousand died. That's all.

Listened to researcher who says that two atomic bombs were fake. Night before Hiroshima and later Nagasaki were carpet fire bombed a la Dresden. Interesting. Fear porn for Russians?

You should find some other researchers to listen to.

St. Pete's is worth visiting! "The Venice of the North". Canals, palaces, rich museums, and much more. I'll hold my enthusiasm and recommendations in check for now. "Normalization" seems like a hopeless pipe dream at this time.
