Really?

So is the participation rate!

And the food stamp roles are the highest in history!

And... jeez, you know what, you probably don't care about the facts.

I only looked at SS, not the other variants.
That kinda backs up what you've posted.

The talking head keep telling us the decrease is due to everyone retiring yet the numbers don't back that up.
That 10,000 increase is NOT the number of people who went on SS that month. It's the number of people who went on SS that month MINUS the number of people already on SS who DIED. 1.5 MILLION Americans over age 65 died last year - that works out to well over 100,000/month. How many of those were collecting SS, I don't know but I suspect it was most of them. So your 10,000 increase needs to be added to the roughly 100,000 or so who dropped off the SS rolls that same month because they died, bringing the number of NEW SS recipients in June up to as high as 110,000+ - NOT merely 10,000.
Nobody lives forever and people drop OFF the SS rolls just as they age their way ON to the SS rolls.

It does not mean that the economy is improving.
The particpation rate is NOT "the lowest in history".
That's an outright lie.
It's the lowest since the babyboomers began aging their way INTO the workforce, and now that the babyboomers are starting to age their OUT of the workforce it's down again.
Gee, that's a surprise.

This is one of the most interesting charts in this article. Oddly the LPR doesn't move at all for several years, not a decimal point, but then move on down to 2009, when U6 takes a huge leap and man does it start to move.

How can you still keep stating this? The reduction in workforce by age, according to official numbers is approx.
Age 16-54 74%
Age 55+ 26%
There are soft numbers then there are completely non-existent numbers.

What happened to that 5% unemployment rate promised by Obama's stimulus?

What ever happen to these predictions from Obamanomics (WH)?

In August 2009, the WH predicted GDP would rise 4.3% in 2011, followed by 4.3% growth in 2012 and 2013, too.
In its 2010 forecast, the WH said it was looking for 3.5% GDP growth in 2012, followed by 4.4% in 2013.
In its 2011 forecast, the White House predicted 3.1% growth in 2011, 4.0% in 2012, and 4.5% in 2013.

Yep, as usual FAIL

This is a case where, as Bob Dylan once sang "you don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows".

There is evidence all around us that the economy is still very weak.

Drive by any shopping area and you'll see store after store after store with "For Rent" signs, very few "Help Wanted" signs.

Inflation is increasing at alarming rates....I don't need anyone to show me a chart, or data, I just need to do my weekly food shopping.

Obamatrons live in the fairy tale world of the msm and obama leg humpers who tell you that things are great and getting better....but you know the truth.

But it seems like only yesterday when we were losing 750,000 jobs a month but it wasn`t yesterday, it was the last months of Gomer`s administration. Meanwhile we breathlessly await the GOP jobs bill.
