By the end of the year and into next, according to the estimates, even from your messiah.

Many private economists, and the Federal Reserve, expect the unemployment rate to top 10 percent by the end of this year.
Is that not soon enough for you?

Quote:
WASHINGTON (AP) -- The unemployment rate rose to 9.7 percent in August, the highest since June 1983, as employers eliminated a net total of 216,000 jobs.

If laid-off workers who have settled for part-time work or have given up looking for new jobs are included, the so-called underemployment rate reached 16.8 percent, the highest on records dating from 1994.

From 9.4% to 9.7% with 216,000 jobs lost - they must have figured they couldn't play with the numbers again.

Interesting how last month it dropped from 9.5%to 9.4%... somebody in the BLS needs a math lesson I believe. It never truly dropped and we knew that at the time.
